There are no rubber molds used in manufacturing of any emblems nor are any emblems sold by St. Louis Knightstik a copy of another firms' creation. By using rubber molds a jeweler will certainly loose some integrity or detail and will only be able to produce a 2nd copy. All gold used in casting is refined and bought from distributors highly recognized as reputable businesses, guaranteeing proper gold content.

There are many forms of manufacturing gold items. This process can be attractive as items can be sold for $ 15.00 over cost as there is no time in them at all. The gram weight is important in all cases but in particular % 100 relative to the sale on these items. If you are looking for a piece for a gift that will not cost too much and you aren't concerned about its' appearance then that is definitely the way to shop for that gift.

Hand castings always have that exceptional appearance and feel when held in the hand. When compared next to the other pressed or puffed items you will realize that you are in an entirely different leaque with hand made jewelry. When you give a hand cast item to someone you never have to say you are sorry for the thin bail or the tin type feel you will get from stampings or puffed items. ST. Louis Knightstik manufactures only hand cast items each day. All medals are made one at a time at the jewelers' bench, engraved and polished by hand from start to finish. This process usually takes 2-3 hours by the time it is shipped of hands on time. Consideration has been given to weight and affordability in most medals,however, there are a few that I just had to make real heavy just to have them around for people who enjoy a real nice beautiful piece in the hand.

Ring sizes must be obtained prior to manufacturing, NO EXCEPTIONS. A ring sizer will be sent to out of state customers to accomplish this small, yet absolutely necessary task.

Sizing after the ring is made results in the top of the ring losing its flat surface causing the emblem to develop a gap between the mounting. This can be corrected, however, several hours of labor are needed.

Your ID or Badge number can be engraved into the front of the badges for $ 3.00 All engraving onto the badges or backs of medals is done here in the shop and does not extend any shipping time. Backs are done for $ .50 per character.

Inside ring engraving is also available at $ .50 per character,however, they are taken to a proffessional engraving shop.
